It's November 15 2008 7:18am in Northern Illinois ...In my opinion it's the peak of the rut in this ... part of the country. My good friend Ron Levin of www.AfterTheHuntTaxidermy.Com... acquired permission for me to bow hunt ALL of his Big buck hot spots. while this is not the biggest buck I have harvested...It IS a prerequisite to harvest a Boone and Crockett Whitetail buck on this property. Ron implements Quality deer management ...and in order for me to arrow a Booner...I was required to cull a inferior buck. Holy smokes! Did I read that correctly: this is a "cull" buck? Just out of curiousity, are the places you're hunting high-fenced or just super-intensely managed? |

Thats freaking awesome. Hopefully more folks will see that you really CAN get these kinds of results without high fences and, some cases, large tracts of land. Congratulations to you. |
