Once again, deer hunters will find greater hunting opportunities during the 2021-2022 hunting season in state parks and forests participating in the Game Commission’s Deer Management Assistance Program or DMAP.

Nineteen out of 20 state forest districts and 25 of the 121 state parks will be offering a total of 31,871 additional deer hunting opportunities across 105 DMAP units this year.

Before obtaining the permit, hunters need to get the DMAP unit number for the state forest or park area they want to hunt.

Hunters may use DCNR’s Interactive Map to find available DMAP areas on state forest and state park land.

Hunters can purchase a DMAP permit at various issuing agents across the state or online.
