4-H kids light up the Buckmasters Top Bow range.

The Buckmasters Top Bow Indoor World Championship gets most of the attention throughout the Buckmasters Expo, but there’s another archery tournament going on in conjunction with the Top Bow event that deserves its share of recognition.

While the professionals are duking it out at the Expo, young 4-H archers from across the country are battling at other venues to see which six from the Junior and Senior divisions will get to take on the Top Bow range to determine their own champions.

This year’s champions were Benjamin Varos from Athens, Texas (Junior champion), and Colton Gibbs from Carrollton, Georgia (Senior champion).

Each of the six place winners received silver plaques courtesy of the Heart of Texas chapter of the Buckmasters American Deer Foundation, while the top three from each division received plaques from Buckmasters. Each of the champions also received a trophy and a $1,000 gift certificate from Hoffy’s Archery shop in Lampasas, Texas.

Look Out, Pros!Special thanks to the Alabama Cooperative Extension System for organizing the 4-H qualifying events, and all their work helping to mold our youth.

Congratulations to all the place winners and shooters. You’re all winners!
