Turkey hunting applications on sale through Aug. 1

The fall turkey hunting application period which opened July 1, will be available through Aug. 1.

A total of 51,350 licenses are available, including 4,650 general licenses and 46,700 private land licenses. Michigan’s 2017 fall turkey season runs Sept. 15 to Nov. 14.

The application fee is $5, and applications and licenses may be purchased at any authorized license agent or online.

Fall turkey drawing results and leftover license availability will be posted Aug. 14 online.
