Ravin R29X

The Product Development team at Ravin Crossbows continues to challenge the archery industry and break through boundaries once thought impossible. The new 2020 lineup includes more of these groundbreaking advancements, including a fully integrated Silent Cocking System and crossbow speeds on a whole new level. The R29X boasts 450 feet per second speed, while maintaining Ravin’s legendary compact size and extreme accuracy.

While the size of the crossbows has remained compact, the faster speed of the R29X will appeal to those in search of a crossbow that truly delivers what it promises. “We test fire each bow that leaves our facility a minimum of three times before sending it out, and while anyone can advertise a fast speed, Ravin Crossbows shoot at or above the advertised speed with a 400-grain arrow,” said Doug Guthrie, New Product Development.

The new R29X, complete with the fully integrated Silent Cocking System, is 29 inches in length, 6 inches axle- to-axle when fully cocked and shoots an impeccable 450 feet per second with a 400-grain arrow.

The new Silent Cocking System ensures the crossbow is in silent mode continuously every time the crossbow is cocked.

The R29X’s 12.5-inch power stroke produces 180-foot pounds of kinetic energy along with a physical weight of 6.75 pounds. Customers have the choice of the standard R29X as well as the upgrade to the R29X Sniper Package, which features a Tactical Crossbow Scope, Scope Level, .001 arrows and the Jack Plate Adjustable Elevation Mount.

The R29X will be available in Predator Dusk Camo with an MSRP of $2,649.99 for the standard and $3,049.99 for the R29X Sniper Package.

The full line-up for 2020 includes the R10, R20, R26, R29, new R29 Sniper Package with Silent Cocking System, new R29X with Silent Cocking System and new R29X Sniper Package with Silent Cocking System as well as a new pricing structure for existing models.

All Ravin Crossbows feature patented HeliCoil Technology, coiling the cables away from both the top and the bottom of the cams in helical grooves, allowing the cams to rotate nearly 340 degrees. Both cams remain perfectly level when drawing and shooting the crossbow, dramatically increasing accuracy.

The patented technology also eliminates the rail friction that other crossbows experience. Rail friction robs the arrow of speed and a consistent launch. Ravin’s Frictionless Flight System creates zero friction because the arrow floats above the rail.

This Frictionless Flight System creates a quieter shot and improves string life while providing vane clearance for precise downrange accuracy. Another Ravin exclusive feature is the Trac-Trigger Firing System. Operating in conjunction with HeliCoil technology, this built-in trigger mechanism slides forward on the rail clasping directly to the precise center of the string every time the bow is drawn, allowing for straight-line nock travel and a perfectly balanced draw.

The Trac-Trigger contains the automatically activated safety, anti-dry-fire mechanism and a match-grade trigger that pulls crisp and clean. Cocking the Ravin is fast and easy with the patented Versa-Draw Cocking System. This compact, ambidextrous system is integrated into the stock and provides the ability for simple cocking and uncocking. No longer does a shooter have to fire the crossbow to un-cock it. The Versa-Draw cocking system requires just 12 pounds of draw force.
