The new ALPS Outdoors Renegade X is a compression stuff sack that is also waterproof, providing a lightweight, small-footprint solution for dry gear storage.
While many packs offer rainfly protection, the ability to keep gear with high moisture-absorbing or wicking potential — such as clothing and sleeping bags — from getting wet often demands dedicated waterproof storage. The problem with many dry bags is that they tend to be heavy and bulky, and few can sufficiently compress a bag’s contents. The Renegade X solves both these problems.
Made of 70D ripstop nylon with a durable waterproof coating, the Renegade X is built for the rigors of the backcountry. Waterproof taped seams combine with tough nylon webbing and bartacked stress points to withstand compression forces. The Renegade X features a rolltop with snap buckle closure similar to conventional dry bags plus cinch straps for maximum compression and minimal space requirement in your pack. A special Air Control waterproof breathable bottom fabric allows air to be pushed out white not allowing water in, eliminating wasted air space and ensuring optimal compression efficiency.
The Renegade X is available in four sizes, making it an ideal in-pack storage solution for clothing and sleeping bags (an item that rarely comes with a waterproof compression bag).
