Multiple Options in Yamaha’s Tough Mid-Size 4x4
Yamaha Outdoors builds three versions of its Grizzly 350 Automatic ATV: a solid axle two-wheel-drive, a solid axle four-wheel-drive, and a four-wheel-drive with Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). Each one of these ATVs is a tough and rugged off-road machine that comes in a mid-sized package with a friendly price tag.
Which one’s right for you? Depends on how you use it. The 2WD Grizzly at $4,999 is a great work and transportation vehicle. Yamaha’s Ultramatic automatic transmission with all-wheel engine braking is the industry’s most durable CVT system. The aggressive front and rear tires, along with 5-way pre-load adjustable suspension, provide close to 10 inches of ground clearance with plenty of traction and responsive handling.
If you need four-wheel-drive, the 4x4 straight axle Grizzly 350 at $5,599 adds more off-road capability with Yamaha’s exclusive On-Command push-button 2WD, 4WD limited slip, and 4WD fully locked system — the industry’s only true ride-controlled four wheel drive.
For the ultimate in off-road capability with increased ground clearance, the Grizzly 350 4x4 with IRS at $6,299 includes all of the features of the other models plus fully adjustable independent suspension on all four wheels.
Each of these Grizzlies comes with Yamaha’s 348cc carbureted engine providing a smooth and powerful ride with a reactive throttle response and consistent power. Steel racks on front and back can handle 88 pounds and 176 pounds respectively and feature a rust-resistant Duragrip finish. At the same time, a rear center-mounted hitch can haul up to 1,102 pounds.
The 2011 Grizzly 350 4x4 models are available in Hunter Green, Steel Blue and Realtree AP Camouflage. The Grizzly 350 2WD is available in Steel Blue and Hunter Green.
