The Buckeye Chapter of the BADF in Ohio partnered with Dakota Outfitters in 2012 to honor and support our nation's military veterans by hosting their 2nd annual "Hunt of a Lifetime" for one lucky area veteran.
Applications were accepted from all veterans, both able-bodied and disabled alike, living in either Ohio or West Virginia.
This year's lucky winner by random drawing was Terry "Moose" Moore of Moundsville, West Virginia.
Terry volunteered for service in the U.S. Army straight out of high school. He then served three tours overseas during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970.
Terry is a lifelong outdoorsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. His best friend since childhood, Ed Wolodkin, also from Moundsville, applied for the hunt on Terry's behalf.
In October 2012, Ed was able to join Moose at Dakota Outfitter's beautiful lodge and preserve, located a few miles west of Barnesville, Ohio. The two shared the entire experience and hunt of a lifetime together.
Terry proved his rifle marksmanship skills in the field by harvesting a beautiful 13-point, 170-inch whitetail buck with a single well-placed shot.
The Buckeye Buckmasters chapter would like to thank Terry for his service to our country, as well as Jim Moses and Eric Stonecipher of Dakota Outfitters for making this event possible.
