-- For Sgt. 1st Class Joetta Dement, a trip to the 2008 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoors Trade (SHOT) Show was an opportunity to see the new products and represent the U.S. Army Shooting Team at the National Shooting Sports Federation's annual industry event in Las Vegas.

Little did she know she would be adding a new weapon to her arsenal -- an acoustic guitar autographed by country stars Big & Rich, courtesy of Repel Insect Repellent and the Country Music Association.

Dement won the unique guitar by attending the Repel Music & Margins event featuring four top country songwriters at the ESPN Zone during the SHOT Show.

Dement, a shotgun shooter with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Fort Benning, Ga., began shooting in 1989. She has numerous shooting accomplishments including: 2007 Women's Trap National Champion; First Alternate, 2004 U.S. Olympic Women's Trap Team; Double Trap Team Silver Medal, 2003 and 2002 World Championships & Team Silver Medal; 2001 U.S. World Championship Trap Team Member, and 2000 World Cup Double Trap Team Silver Medalist.

The featured songwriters, who regularly perform as part of the CMA Songwriters Series, included Scotty Emerick, Rodney Clawson, Leslie Satcher and Vincent Williams.

"It's such an honor to meet the songwriters whose songs I listen to on the radio all the time," Dement said. "Being able to take home a guitar autographed by one of the groups I love is amazing. I want to thank Repel and the CMA for offering me such a great opportunity."
