-- A free introduction to target shooting will be offered at a July 16 seminar at the Outdoor Heritage Shooting Complex at Platte River State Park.
Participants can learn to shoot a handgun or rifle as part of the National Shooting Sports Foundation First Shots program. Participants must be at least 11 years of age to shoot a rifle, and 18 years of age to shoot a handgun. They will be supervised and will learn about firearm safety. Early registration is required.
Women are invited to Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman muzzleloader classes held throughout the month of July.
Wednesday classes on July 6, 13, 20 and 27 are for any woman who wants to learn how to shoot a muzzleloader or increase her knowledge of muzzleloaders. The fee for each class is $5. Guns will be provided.
