The Buckmasters Top Bow World Champion will be crowned later today, but here is a synopsis of Sunday’s quarter-finals, where field of veterans will compete for a shot of making the top four.
Sunday Quarter-Final Pairings:
Keith Brown will face Tom Boatwright, Randy Barley will face Colin Boothe, Luke Hitt will face Randy Hendrix and Joseph Goza will face his brother, Larry Goza.
Five of the archers have already hoisted “The Rack” at least once in their careers. All have made the quarter-finals before, with the exception of Luke Hitt, who will be competing today.
Top Bow event coordinator, Mike Foster, said, “The shooters can’t rest on their laurels today. Everyone starts from scratch and can’t rely on a high score from a previous round to proceed in the competition. A miss at the wrong time today will get you sent home. It’ll come down to whoever conquers their nerves and uses their powers of observation the best. There are plenty of guys in this field who have the experience to get it done.”
