Here are your top 24 Top Bow weekend qualifiers (plus one special exemption).
Top Bow Coordinator, Mike Foster says, “This year’s course was set up to challenge the shooters powers of observation, not just their shooting ability. I think we accomplished that with the way targets appear.”
This year, the surprise target is a running javelina. Only about 50-percent of the archers are hitting it.
Foster added, “There seems to be a lot of nerves this year, even more than years past, probably because the layout is longer and there is more space between targets. It definitely has a different look.”
Only two archers have shot perfect rounds so far: Keith Brown and Larry Goza.
Also, notably, Jackie Caudle was given a special exemption for his past achievements.
The action continues Saturday, with the field being narrowed to eight for Sunday’s finale and the crowning of the 2012 Top Bow World Champion.
