The Buckeye Buckmasters Chapter

Back To BADF Home PageThe Buckeye Buckmasters Chapter of the Buckmasters American Deer Foundation (BADF) recently held their annual Project Venison distribution at the Salvation Army Store in Cambridge, Ohio.

Despite the freezing conditions and wintry weather, a record number of needy recipients turned out to claim their portion of free venison.  Each person received at least one bag of ground deer burger containing 8-10 pounds of the offering.  Over 2 tons of venison, donated by local sportsmen, was handed out in less than 10 minutes time.

The Buckeye Buckmasters Chapter would like to thank all local sportsmen who contributed their hard earned harvest to the program and also J-Mo meats in Barnesville, Ohio and The Buck Stop in New Concord, Ohio for their help in processing the meat.

Funds raised at the Chapter's annual charity dinner banquet held each fall supply the money necessary to hold the program.  This year's banquet will be held on Saturday, September 18th at the Barnesville Elks Lodge.

For more information on attending the banquet or becoming a sponsor of the program contact Shane Skinner in Barnesville at 740-425-1677 or Hugh Roller in Cambridge at 740-439-5141.
