From the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
-- Texas Parks and Wildlife is urging the public to be aware this is the time of year when a number of state parks restrict access to allow hunters a chance to harvest white-tailed deer and other wildlife.
For a number of years, the Parks and Wildlife Department has held scheduled hunts in dozens of state parks to help conserve natural resources and to provide the public with additional places to hunt.
Hunts typically are conducted over several days during the week, as not to interfere with weekend camping and other park activities.
Scheduled hunts will be taking place from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3 at Fairfield Lake State Park and Seminole Canyon. The last scheduled park hunts of the season will occur in March.
