-- Randy Huskey, hunter education administrator for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, has been selected president-elect for the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA).
IHEA, based in Denver, develops hunter education curriculum standards and training methods, hosts a national academy for hunting investigations and an academy for new administrators. Hunter education professionals from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Africa and the Dominican Republic attended the recent conference in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
In his position with the TWRA, Huskey oversees the agencys statewide hunter education program. TWRA implements the hunter education courses taught according to the standards established by the IHEA.
Huskey has been with the TWRA since 1991 when he joined the agency as a wildlife officer. His term as IHEA president will be for two years.
