WHAT'S NEW
• Exterior colors: Dark Cherry Metallic, Deep Ruby Metallic.
• High Idle Switch used on 2500HD and 3500HD models. It is an option primarily for fleet and commercial customers and is not a separate switch. Requires cruise control switches to activate and is displayed on the Driver Information Center.
• XM Satellite Radio standard on all models.

1. Power Pack Option Package - Available on 1500 series Extended and Crew Cab models, this package offers a savings of $500. It contains the 5.3L V8, locking differential, heavy duty trailering and 17" aluminum wheels.

Eaton automatic locking rear differential (G80) - Available on all models, either as an option or part of the package, it automatically locks the left and right rear wheels together when slippage is detected at lower speeds. • Active Fuel Management - Delivers the power and efficiency that today's full-size pickup buyers need. Half the cylinders are shut off during light load conditions, transforming the V8 into a more efficient V4. When full power is needed, the cylinders are seamlessly reactivated.

The Duramax 6.6L turbo diesel is equipped with the Allison 1000 Series automatic transmission.

ALL SILVERADO MODELS
• Locking differential - Available on all Silverado models except LTZ, which has it as standard equipment. Differential locks automatically when slippery or unstable road surfaces are detected. Differential unlocks at approximately 18-20 mph. More efficient system than competitive limited slip differentials.
• Trailering equipment - Available on all Silverado models, standard on LTZ. Includes trailering hitch platform, 7-wire harness with independent fused trailering circuits mated to a 7-way sealed connector, and a 2" receiver (2-1/2" on
2500HD and 3500HD).

RIDE & HANDLING 1500
• Full boxed frame - The frame is 230 percent torsionally stiffer than Silverado Classic. Hydroforming, box design and minimal welds result in a strong and efficient frame.
• Independent front suspension - Coil-over shock with stabilizer bar design.
• Solid axle rear suspension - Hotchkiss-type leaf spring suspension with a splayed arrangement for the gas pressurized shock absorbers.

• StabiliTrak System with Proactive Roll Avoidance - Standard on Silverado 1500 Crew Cabs, optional on extended cabs. This sophisticated vehicle stability control system continuously monitors key operating dynamics to help the driver maintain control and keep the vehicle in the path being steered. Proactive Roll Avoidance detects potential rollover situations and takes action to reduce
lateral force.
• Exceptional selection of wheels and tires.
- 1/2-ton 1500 models have a wide selection of wheels and tires in 17", 18" and 20" sizes. Wheels and tires are package driven and often can be upgraded.
- 3/4- and 1-ton 2500HD and 3500HD have 16" and 17" wheels and tires in a variety of configurations including steel, aluminum, single and dual.
• 4-wheel ABS - Standard feature that helps prevent wheel lockup during hard braking on most slippery surfaces.

• Exterior differentiation - The 1/2-ton 1500 and the 2500HD and 3500HD have their own specific looks, so it's easy to tell the difference between the light duty and heavy duty models as well as between their SUV siblings.
• Strong and confident front end - Silverado's look on both light duty and heavy duty models is accentuated with a large Chevy bowtie in the grille, muscular fender flares and a prominent power dome hood.
• Cargo box features.
- Gaps between box and cab are tighter to improve aerodynamics. The strength and rigidity of the underlying frame keep the cab and box precisely aligned, even over uneven road surfaces.
- Deeper cargo box.
- Excellent cargo carrying capacity with more than 4' of width between the wheelhouses and more than 5' between the box sides.

• Best-in-class aerodynamics - This is the result of a more streamlined shape as well as a steeply raked windshield.
• Jewel-like headlamps - Headlamps are vertically stacked and pushed outboard to reinforce the strong stance. They are also streamlined to reduce wind resistance.
• Cargo management system - An innovative system available on both light duty and heavy duty Silverados. The Cargo Management System includes:
- Three factory-installed rails mounted on the box sides and bulkhead.
- Four tie-down hooks that can be slid along the rails and secured.
- 500 lbs. per rail rating.
- Provisions for a variety of accessories that include a heavy duty tool box, side storage boxes, cargo divider and overhead rack system/ladder carrier.
• Widest opening rear access doors - Doors fully open to 170 degrees to make access much easier for people and cargo. On dual rear-wheel models, the opening is 164 degrees to accommodate the rear fender.

INTERIOR

• Two interiors - Work Truck and LT have the "Pure Pickup" look with a cockpit design that includes dual glove boxes. Luxury interior for the LTZ shares the same design theme as the Chevy full-size SUVs.
• Comfortable seats - Seats feature firm foam cushions and supportive bolsters. Driver and passengers sit in the seats, not on them. Front seats have significant fore/aft travel as well as a generous amount of recline.
• Seating choices - Materials include easy to clean vinyl, cloth and leather. Adjustments include manual, 6-way power and 10-way power. LTZ models come standard with 10-way power front bucket seats, power lumbar, 2-position
memory and heated cushions and backs.
• Best-in-class consoles and storage - Includes segment-first enclosed dual glove box on Work Truck and LT, fold-down armrest storage in the center section of the 40/20/40 front bench seat on 1LT, under-seat storage on the 1LT under the front center seat cushion, and center console storage on the 2LT and LTZ with bucket seats that has over 20 liters of storage. Large LTZ console includes auxiliary power outlet inside and has two different positions, or can be
removed altogether.
