I am going to buy one of these for my father in law...anyone had bad luck with this gun? we tend to be hard on our guns up here in michigan so i am not looking to spend more than what is reasonable. I can get it for 290, that seems like a good deal for what is arguably a good gun for the price

he wants a yute gun/varmant. the only thing I am worried about is if the stock is horrible having to pay extra for a decent new stock.

any info would be nice

Very accurate rifles,very reasonably priced,you wont go wrong buying a Savage.

I have a savage in 7mm-08 and it is extremly accurate, flawless feeding and dependable. Love the accutrigger!!!
