You're right there aren't a lot of food plots in our area, but there are a lot of turkeys.  We have a 3000 acre tract and we rode thru the other day and counted 82 turkeys, so you can imagine what they can do to a food plot.  We usually use human hair to keep deer out until the food plot gets big enough.  I'll check with the local feed stores and see if they know of any seeds that turkeys won't eat.
