moose hunt with muzzel loader

being a new inline muzzel loader hunter and in hopes to draw a moose permit this year, the question to all would be, where is the best spot to hit a moose for a quick kill and how many grams of lead and powder to use. I have a CVA OPTIMA. Max range i will shoot is 50 yrds. can any one help

Whatever bullet select you make, you need to get to the range and practice with your muzzleloader well in advance of your hunt. Get a friend that knows a thing or two about muzzleloaders to go to the range with you to give you some pointers. The more lead you sling downrange will increase your odds of making a successful hunt.
