I still have 14 days till Michigans bow season opens and I cant wait! The days are going to slow for me. I wish our season started sooner here. I am realy getting restless. I have everything ready and waiting to go, just counting down the days.

It could be worse you could be like us in VA. and have 20 more days. I am like you have everything ready bow sighted and tuned just counting the days.

I am going nuts, I meen seriously out of my mind, earlier this month my girlfriend and I where walking the trail through my hunting area and jumped a nice buck 6 possible 8 pointer. Very large body. I was shaking as I watched it bound off into the thickets. I recall the exact spot and I know how I have to go to get in and out without spoking him or any others that might be in close range.

You could be in Alabama,our archery season doesn't start until Oct 13.

Ours in Michigan ends Jan-1 unless the DNR extends the private property doe season, that last two weeks at most.

o k I understand your frustration but it could be worse!!!!! our bow season starts this sat , but I have had 3 surgery's on my shoulder and now I can't pull my bow so I get to sit home and watch everyone else go to the woods

willy,I'm in the same boat,except I had surgery on a nerver in my left arm.This will be the second bow season I have to sit out. No thanks newhunter,I like it down here. Hope the shoulder gets better willy.

what do you think about useing a crossbow I've thought about it but am unsure I'll never be able to pull my bow again with out doing damage to my shoulder and the surgeries are painful Hillbilly Willy

Geeez guys !! Just make a little road trip to my neck of the woods and I'd be happy to set you guys up on a hunt. Season has been open here since Aug. 15 in the lower part of my state. We'll get you fellas with injuries a crossbow permit or you can just use a rifle if we drive a little further south in my state. Our rut kicks off more or less in October, not like those in Alabama where it starts in Januaray (right Tubby?). So load up your trucks and get going! I feel your frustration Newhunter. I used to be tormented by the wait for season until I took up hog hunting. Now that keeps me occupied all spring and summer. Time flies by when you're not thinking about it so hard.

Hey mcraddock, If I had the $$$ and time I would seriously take you up on that offer. I think this spring I might buy a .22 for small game hunting in Michigan that goes year round.

Looks like archery season is not gonna pass me by this time.My Dad got me a crossbow! Look out Oct 13......here I come!
