Register now for June 4 Learn to Hunt workshop

-- Want to learn to hunt? A daylong Learn to Hunt workshop with instruction in all aspects of hunting is scheduled June 4 at Platte River State Park. The event will cover hunting strategies for all types of game using different weapons.

The workshop, sponsored by the Game and Parks Commission and its partners, is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Participants must be at least 11 years of age. Firearms and archery equipment will be handled, but hunter education certification is not required.

Instructors from Game and Parks, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Whitetails Unlimited, Nebraska Trappers Association, National Bowhunter Education, and National Predators Association will offer their expertise to those attending.

Registration and a $25 fee are required by May 27.
