-- The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will hold 12 public meetings in March, inviting hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and other interested parties to review proposed 2010 hunting regulations for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, boar and black bear.
Also available for review and comment are the proposed 2011- 2012 general hunting and trapping regulations and proposed 2011 fishing regulations. Public meetings will be held throughout the state March 15 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. Wildlife and fisheries biologists and conservation officers will be available to discuss the proposals. The deadline for written comments is April 9.
Meetings on March 15 will be at Fairmont ˆ East Fairmont High School (Commons Area), Martinsburg ˆ James Rumsey Technical Institute (Cafeteria), Summersville ˆ Summersville High School, Lewisburg ˆ Brier Inn, Milton ˆ West Virginia Pumpkin Park (4-H Building), and in Spencer ˆ Spencer Community Building.
Meetings on March 16 will be held in Glen Dale ˆ John Marshall High School, Moorefield ˆ Moorefield Middle School (Cafeteria), Buckhannon ˆ Buckhannon-Upshur High School, Mullens ˆ Twin Falls State Park (Chinquapin Room), Logan ˆ Chief Logan State Park Conference Center, and Parkersburg ˆ City Building/Lobby.
