-- Hunt camp passes are available for the 2009-2010 general gun season on the Ocala National Forest. Hunt camps will open at 8 a.m. Nov. 13, 2009 and close at 6 p.m. Jan. 11, 2010.
Those wishing to purchase a pass have the option to purchase either the first or the second part of the season for $30 or to purchase both passes for $60. Each period allows camping in the hunter camps for approximately 30 days. There is maximum number of five people per site with two vehicles.
Passes are available at the Lake George and Seminole ranger stations Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Passes are also available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ocklawaha Visitors Center, and Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Salt Springs Visitors Center.
There are a limited number of passes available, and popular locations sell out quickly. Hunt camp passes must be purchased in person. No sales will be made over the phone or through the internet.
Visitors are encouraged to contact the local ranger stations or visitor centers to see about the availability of hunt camp passes.
