No special permit required for NJ youth bow hunt Sept. 24

From New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife

-- New Jersey's Youth Bow Hunt scheduled Sept. 24 allows youth to hunt for one deer of either sex.

Because the hunt is an extension of the fall bow season, no special season deer permit is required. Youth are also exempt from the antlerless first requirement, which is in effect for the regular Fall Bow Season in all zones of Regulation Sets 3A, 4, 6 and 8.

Youth bow hunters must have a valid Youth Hunting License and be under the direct supervision of a person who is at least 21 years old and who has a valid bow and arrow license.
