-- The N.H. Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) Program is teaming up with the Contoocook River Canoe Co., LLC, to offer a 3-day, 2-night guided canoe/camping trip on Lake Umbagog from Friday, Sept. 18 to Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009.
The cost per paddler for this special "Beyond B O W" adventure is $245, which includes meals, camping and paddling gear, canoes, life jackets and tents. Participants need to bring a sleeping bag, clothes and personal gear. Bring fishing equipment and a N.H. fishing license if you plan to cast a line. Participants will be transported by van from the Contoocook River Canoe Co. to the Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge, located on the Magalloway River in Errol, N.H.
Guides from the Contoocook River Canoe Co. and the Becoming an Outdoors Woman Program will lead the trip. Space is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. To sign up, call 603-753-9804.
