From Arizona Game and Fish Department
-- Hunters who havenít yet applied for the spring hunts for turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear can now apply online at www.azgfd.gov/draw.
Online applicants are advised to apply early in the event technical issues with the new service arise before the Oct. 11, 7 p.m. MST deadline.
The new online system has been tested extensively. By opening the spring draw application process to the online format, the department will continue to fine tune the system for the elk and antelope draw application cycle in December.
At the time of application hunters must pay a nonrefundable application fee of $7.50 along with the fee for any necessary license. A 2012 license is required to enter the spring draw. Hunters who havenít already purchased one can do it through the draw process.
Hunters will be able to print any purchased hunting licenses immediately once the online purchase is complete. Payment can be made by VISA and MasterCard credit cards. The cost of the hunt permit-tag wonít be charged unless the hunterís name is selected in the draw.
The new online application service currently does not work with any mobile device.
Hunters can mail paper applications to the Arizona Game and Fish Department or take the form to Game and Fish offices located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix.
Address mailed applications to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn: Drawing Section, PO Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052. Mailed applications must be received on or before the deadline.
More information about the spring turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear hunt draw booklet and applications are available Game and Fish offices, at hunting license dealers and online at www.azgfd.gov/draw.
