From Nebraska Game and Parks Commission
-- Spring turkey hunting permits will be available starting at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9. The archery season is March 25 to May 31, and the youth shotgun season is April 7 to May 31. Regular shotgun season is April 14 through May 31.
The 2012 spring permit prices, not including issuing fees, are for resident turkey, $23; nonresident turkey, $90, and resident and nonresident youth turkey, $5. Youth permits are for hunters who are under age 16 on the opening day of the youth archery season. All turkey hunters, except residents under age 16, are required to have a valid Nebraska Habitat Stamp.
Each spring turkey permit allows a hunter to take one male or bearded female turkey with bow and arrow in the archery season or a shotgun in the shotgun season. A hunter may purchase up to three spring turkey permits.
Permits can be purchased at Game and Parks permitting offices or online at https://ngpc-permits.ne.gov/NGPC-PS/faces/public/welcome.
