NC launches program to match hunters and farm landowners

From the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission

-- A new program aimed at connecting farmers and hunters has been launched, and the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is encouraging hunters and farmers to sign up for the new program.

Hunt NC Farmland lets farmers register their lands for access by hunters, and hunters can locate private lands to hunt. Hunters who register on the website can contact farmers to negotiate leases to hunt on the farmers’ land. Hunters also can search for farmland hunting opportunities by county, game species, lease type and other information.

For more information or to register for this new program, visit the Hunt NC Farmland website at http://www.ncagr.gov/hunt/index.htm
