Idaho clarifies wolf tag refunds

From Idaho Fish and Game

-- Under some conditions, if a hunter purchased a 2010 wolf tag after March 31, but did not have the opportunity to use it, the hunter is eligible for a refund.

For a hunter who bought the tag before April 1, and certifies he or she did not participate in any wolf hunt, they would be eligible for a refund, and the hunter must fill in, sign and submit an affidavit.

If a hunter bought a wolf tag before April 1 and hunted but did not kill a wolf, the hunter is not eligible for a refund. And if the hunter bought the tag before April 1, but the area he or she planned to hunt closed because the harvest limit was met, the hunter is not eligible for a refund.

Eligible hunters must submit their request and return the original tag by Oct. 1, 2010, to Idaho Fish and Game, Wolf Tag Refund Request, P.O. Box 25, Boise, ID 83707. Refunds may be made in a state check or an Idaho Fish and Game gift certificate, whichever the hunter prefers.
