From Idaho Department of Fish and Game
-- In the warm weather, hunters are advised to consider hunting in the higher country, with most controlled archery pronghorn seasons open Aug. 15 and continuing through Sept. 15.
In addition, in many units, archery seasons on mule deer, white-tailed deer and elk open Aug. 30 and run through September.
Hunters are reminded that archery permits are also required n addition to a valid hunting license. Archers using blinds on federal public lands should contact the Bureau of Land Management for the latest policies on hunting blinds on public lands.
