How many times have you been in a treestand or just in the woods and you needed some strong rope? Even discounting emergency situations, the uses for strong cord in hunting situations are endless, but how many of us actually carry rope or cord in our packs?
Enter Survival Straps, fashionable bracelets that can be quickly deployed for use to get you out of a jam.
Made in America from super strong military-spec paracord, Survival Straps can be worn every day to provide a fashionable extra measure of confidence to your work or pleasure day.
They’re available in several widths (and varying cord lengths) and color combinations, including the special Wounded Warrior designs that help raise money for the popular nonprofit group.

At the Buckmasters Expo in 2011, one of the local archery shops was making bracelets like these on demand and had more business than they could handle. That’s what made me curious about them when I first saw the Survival Straps product.
There will be plenty of people who want these strictly for the fashion aspect, but having that extra bit of safety is a good feeling when you’re out on your own.
Another thing that sets the Survival Straps apart are the clasps. Each comes with a break-away safety clasp for everyday use. Should the Survival Strap get caught on something like machinery, the plastic clasp is designed to break and allow the wearer to pull away safely. But it also comes with a metal clasp that has more uses in survival situations. Use the metal clasp when hunting or fishing for an extra measure of safety.
Chances are you’ll never need to use your survival strap for anything but its looks, but it’s good to know you have some good rope with you when you’re out in the woods alone.
When you add in the possibility for medical alert notices, favorite college teams, military branches, it just makes them that much more appealing.
