Alex Wing and his first turkey.

Alex Wing is very proud of his very first turkey. It was taken on the second day of the Wisconsin Youth Hunt.

Alex, who is 10 years old, has gone turkey hunting with his dad and grandpa each of the past three years, but this year was the first time he was old enough to hunt a turkey of his own, and was it a nice one!

The tom Alex took weighed 21 pounds and had a 10-inch beard and 3/4-inch spurs.

Alex's dad and grandpa said they had a great time watching Alex on his first successful hunt.  They are sure there will be many more hunts ahead.
