-- North Carolina's Wildlife Resources Commission is taking 23 proposed changes to the state's hunting, trapping and fishing regulations for the 2011-2012 seasons to residents in a series of statewide public hearings.
Public comments will be accepted online beginning in early August and at any of nine public hearings in September.

In addition to attending a public hearing, the public can provide comments by mailing comments to 1701 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-1701, or visiting the Commission's website at www.ncwildlife.org. In early August, a Submit Comments Link will be posted on the home page.
After hearing public comments and reviewing written comments, the 19 members of the Wildlife Commission will meet in November and vote on adopting these proposed rules. Adopted rules go into effect Aug. 1, 2011.
