-- General over-the-counter (OTC) big game licenses and OTC bear licenses with caps will be available for purchase by internet https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/co/start.php,  telephone (800) 244-5613, license agents and Division of Wildlife offices on July 14 at 9 a.m.

Only a preset number of cap licenses are available on a first-come, first-served basis. They are sold for archery, muzzleloading and rifle bear, as well as some units for rifle elk. See the 2009 OTC bull elk license map (1 MB PDF) and the OTC Cap License List. Once licenses go on sale, the list will automatically update every 15 minutes in an effort to continually inform hunters and license agents how many are left during the rush.

Leftovers go on sale Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. by phone  at (800) 244-5613) or at any license agent or Colorado DOW office,  and  Aug. 12 online. The list of available leftovers should be posted on the internet by the end of July.
