From the Maryland Department of Natural Resources
-- Cedar Point Wildlife Management Area is now open to hunting. The WMA’s diversity of woodlands, wetlands, agricultural fields and shoreline provides numerous opportunities to hunt upland and forest game, migratory game birds, waterfowl and deer.
Located in the southwest portion of Charles County, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) acquired the 1,926-acre property in March, 2009. Hunting on Cedar Point WMA is in accordance with established season dates and bag limits, except for waterfowl. Waterfowl hunting at Cedar Point WMA opens Dec 15.
Hunter access to Cedar Point WMA will not require possession of a seasonal permit or daily reservations. Hunters must park in designated parking areas and the number of vehicles permitted per parking area will be limited and designated on signs posted in the parking areas.
