Congratulations, Michael Morgan of Sarepta, Louisiana. Your story will be published in Buckmasters Whitetail Magazine!

To all who submitted entries in the 2013 Buckmasters Online Reader Feature contest, it's been an absolute joy to read, edit and publish your stories on www.buckmasters.com. I'm amazed at how many great amateur writers are out there!
We've had so many quality submissions that picking a single winner has been very difficult. In fact, next year we plan to have multiple prizes to reward so much talent.
We gave away a lot of Buckmasters knives and autographed caps to our weekly winners, but only one entry can be published in Buckmasters Whitetail Magazine.
After careful consideration, the other editors and I agreed that one story in particular stood out, and it's one we are proud to print it in the pages of Buckmasters.
Congratulations to Michael Morgan of Sarepta, Louisiana! Your "Drop Tine Blues" story has it all: it's skillfully written, the photos are stunning, and his buck is an exceptional double drop-tined beauty.
Antler size wasn't a factor in choosing a winner. We published several stories where spikes, forkhorns and even does, were the trophies, but Michael's story was the complete package.
We liked the way Michael chronicled his quirky history with this particular buck. His determination to take it with a bow and arrow is admirable, and his descriptions put us right alongside him in the treestand for the ups and downs.
Look for Michael Morgan's full story to appear in the July 2013 issue of Buckmasters Whitetail Magazine. Also, it's scheduled to run online in early July for everyone to read.
Thanks so much again to all who entered. We hope you enjoy your cap, knife and the pride of your story being featured online for thousands of other hunters to read. And congratulations again to Michael for a job well done!
Editor's Note: If your story submission is chosen to appear online in the future, we will automatically enter you into our next year's Reader Feature contest and you will still receive a weekly winner's autographed cap and Buckmasters knife. Keep those stories coming!
