From Remington Arms Company, Inc.
-- Remington recently announced the third offering in its CDL rifle series - the Model 700 CDL (Classic Deluxe) SF (Stainless Fluted) LTD Edition chambered in the solid-performing, soft-shooting .260 Remington. Known for its mild recoil and superb accuracy, the .260 Remington chambering is the perfect cartridge for medium-sized game, particularly for younger or recoil -sensitive hunters.
The third offering in this annual series features commemorative engraving on the hinged floorplate, wears the "Model 700 Limited" rollmark on the receiver and is available in limited production quantities for one year only as was its predecessors - the .30-06 Springfield offering in 2006 and .17 Remington Fireball offering in 2007.
The rifle is housed in a satin finished, straight comb American walnut stock with right-handed cheek piece. Enhancing the classic look of the stock are generous cut checkering, contrasting black fore-end tip and grip cap. The durable 416 stainless steel, magnum-contoured 24-inch barrel is fluted for weight reduction. The barreled action and jeweled bolt both feature a satin stainless finish.
Other standard features include receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts; four round magazine capacity; and sling swivel studs. Performance-driven features added to this offering include the X-Mark Pro trigger and patented Remington recoil-reducing pad.
The rifle is available for one year only at a suggested retail price of $1,100.
