-- For 2008, three new chamberings have been added to the line of NoslerCustom Model 48 rifles. Added are the popular short action .260 Rem., 7mm-08 and .308 Win. cartridges. Currently the Model 48 chambers .270 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum), .300 WSM and .325 WSM.

In a tribute to John Nosler the NoslerCustom Model 48 rifle embodies the performance and quality that Nosler and his company have lived by for 60 years. Designed and built for the hunter who appreciates a higher level of performance on the bench, yet demands huntability in the field, the Model 48 breaks the myth that states that accurate rifles must be heavy rifles - for it weighs just 6-1/4 pounds and delivers guaranteed sub-MOA groups. 

To achieve the highest level of accuracy, the Model 48 action is mated to a hand-lapped, 24" match grade stainless barrel that has been custom chambered for each of the cartridges. The overall length of the rifle is 44 inches.

A true all-weather rifle, the Model 48 integrates the unique MicroSlick? Coating on all interior metal surfaces, including inside the bolt body, on the firing pin, and firing pin spring for maximum corrosion and wear-resistance, even with extensive dry firing.
