Former SCTP shooter wins Silver at World Cup
From the National Shooting Sports foundation
-- Another former Scholastic Clay Target Program shooter is proving herself on the world stage. Caitlin Connor of Winnfield, La., took home her first ever ISSF World Cup medal last week in Minsk, Belarus, when she claimed the silver in women's skeet.
Connor, 18, was the youngest of the skeet finalists and earned the silver in very windy conditions after a three-way shoot-off and the conclusion of the final round. Connor was a standout in SCTP and also attended the NSSF's annual Junior Olympic Development Camp. Other former SCTP shooters include 2008 Olympic shotgun medalists Vincent Hancock and Corey Cogdell. Print Article |
