Giles County, Tenn., Youth Deer Hunt Scheduled  

From Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency

-- The Fellowship of Christian Hunters and Giles County Deer Hunters Association will conduct a youth deer hunt Oct. 25, 2008, for ages 6-16. Deer check-in will be at Richland Trace Market from 6 a.m.-5 p.m.

The prize for the largest buck will be a free shoulder mount. The prize for the largest doe will be a free gun.

A banquet will be held at the Giles County Baptist Association Building Oct. 25, 2008 at 6 p.m. A meal will be served and door prizes will be given away.

Mentor hunts are available for those ages 10-16 who may need a guide. Hunters ages 10-16 must have passed a hunter education course. Triple Threat Outdoors will video tape a hunt.

The registration deadline is Oct. 15 to receive an event T-shirt and Oct. 24 without a T-shirt. The cost is $10.00.
