Yep. If you're hunting a ranch with cattle or goats on it you're gonna want them around your feeders. Otherwise they'll help themselves to everything they can. While you don't have to make the pens huge, I'd day your best bet is to make them at least 20 - 25 ft. on all sides. The deer seem to feel more comfortable going in there if they're not crammed in. But don't look for any mature bucks to come strolling in. They'll cruise by looking for does but will very seldom hit them in the daylight.
