What a crazy weekend. Let me try to tell this the best I can without going crazy.

I started shooting my bow Thursday and notice I had a problem with the fish tailing. I went to the bow shop for 4 hours and couldn't figure out the problem. I had didn't have much but I just told them to buy a drop away on and what would you know it fixed it! I woke up Saturday morning at 8 and shot from 8-11. I wanted to harvest him if I did with the compound.

Okay so now the hunt.
I knew if I saw a deer it wouldn't be until 6 ish. But I wanted to be in my stand early and ready. I walked back noonish. Took my time walked slow and climbed slow so I didn't get all sweaty. I looked at my watch it hit 6:20 and I was alert and ready. Not 15 minutes later I look into the corn field and I see antler jumping threw the corn field!!! He ran in with a doe and small 7 point. The hardest part. I had to wait about 10 minutes around 6:40 until he turned broadside. I slowly got up drew back and wamh! He took of on dead run towards the corn. Not 30 seconds later I got my phone and called my hunting buddy and dad. They knew as soon as I said hello I shot because I couldn't talk!!! My buddy was at a party 45 minutes away and left and drove to my house to help me. We walked in the back got on the trail and some good sprays in the corn. We turned and looked up he was sitting there still alive. We stood there for a second to try and figure out what we were going to do. I couldn't shoot because his but was facing me and I couldn't see anything els. I tried to walk around for a shot. There was to much corn I didn't feel comfortable with taking the shot because I couldn't get a clear shot. I tried to get closer to see, I got around 6 feet and he stood ran about 15 yards and feel. I knew that was it and to back out and come in the morning. I didn't want to push him and lose my dream deer. I had a sleepless night!! I got up and my buddy met me back at the house at first light. He bedded down in the corn and that was it. It was a good choice to back out and leave him over night. I was so pumped!! I was calling everyone and even my hunting buddy was calling everyone. Everyone here so pumped and happy!!

I got a hold of my taxidermist and butcher (both work in same building) I took it there, he skinned it and took the hide and antlers in the freezer now. The butcher cut it up and is sitting in my freezer right now!!!

Okay so here are the pictures. I was extremely excited some of the pictures can't tell because really I was looking at his rack!!

Here are the basics.
-Main frame 8 with 12 points you can put a ring around. 10 points longer than one inch.
-21 inch spread
-10 inch g2's
-Still in his summer coat!!! The mount is going to look awesome!

CONGRATS!!! on a fine buck!
He'll make an excellant addition to ANY trophy wall.
If you can't tell, I'm a little jealous.
I haven't got to go hunting yet this year due to family obligations.
Again, A hearty congrats from a fellow Ohio hunter.

Now knock down some of those does.
