| I was searching MSN`s homepage this morning and came across an article that said trailcams are having an adverse effect on animals . Further along the author explains that yes trail cams are an effective tool to moniter endangered species like the snow leopards , siberian tigers and such but they also aggitate the animal to the point that they attack the cam . If you ask me the only reason an animal would attack a cam is because of it`s curiosity , as for having any long term effects on them I say yeah right . The click of the camera doesn`t scare them any worse than the snapping of a twig . Sorry I couldn`t find the link to the article but just a heads up in case you some day go to your local pro shop looking for a new cam and find out that some treehugging lobbyist got the government to ban them . | | | |

| That is so full of crap! These kind of people will do anything to start an issue. I have been using cameras for 4 years now. The only time I have had a camera messed with was when I guess the flash scared a bear cub and momma came over to check it out. Got some good pictures of a nose, a tongue and I guess some shoulder or something black.
We (my son and I) saw the claw marks on the tree where we had the camera strapped. Since then we use still boxes to keep our cameras in.
I have thousands of pictures of animals from squirrels, deer, bear, foxes, raccoons and even oppossums and none of them have shown any sign of going crazy over my cameras.
I think these people need to get a life. | | WVHunter129 Live to Hunt/Hunt to Live Forum Administrator | |

| | Maybe a gorrilla or something would get aggitated but a deer? I don't think so. | | | |
