I know that we have probably discussed this in a post on the old site... but I am just curious.... I know there are several of us women hunters on here and I know that some have been at it for a while and some were just starting out..... What is everyone shooting ?  Gun or bow  or both ? And primarly deer or turkey ?  I myself bowhunt not gun.... nothing against it though..... I deer hunt and turkey hunt..... I am shooting a PSE Spyder....

PSE Spyder bow with the works & Easton Carbon arrows. Of course I saved and bought this used. Been so busy helping to care for my Aunt with cancer, I try to squeeze in the practice time. Do not own a gun, Yet. Also not opposed to guns, just have not graduated to that level. No turkeys, but hoping for a deer this season.

I use a Micro Adrenaline bow. It is probably supposed to be a youth bow, but it works great for me. I shot my first deer last year with it (3 does and a small 8 pt). It is lightweight and small enough I don't feel awkward. I also use shotgun, I apply for one either sex permit every year. I use a Remington 20 guage pump. I have shot 4 deer in 4 years with it. My first year was a 12 pt. and a doe every year after that.

I only hunt deer, (not that I wouldn't like to turkey hunt, I just don't know that much about it) and I am sooooo ready for the season to start!! I would love to shoot a nice buck with my bow this year!

Good luck to you this year!!

my wife uses a pse nova bow a horton crossbow (got her first archery kill with it last fall), she also gun hunts. got her first with my 243, then second with my abolt in 7mm rem mag, she wants to take all of my guns. so i purchased her a browning bar in 7mm rem mag. she has taken a couple with it. i have yet to get her to go turkey hunting. we do squirrel hunt some. she loves to shoot her marlin mod 60 22.

hey i shoot a remington model 700 in 30-06 cal. i would like to bow hunt but i dont have much upper body strength for being only 15 years old.. i can only pull up to like 44 pounds. my dad was thinking about getting me the martin jaguar in 35-50 pounds. I'm more into hunting with rifles. I hunt deer, doves, and squirrel. When im bored at home i just hunt lizards in my backyard with my pellet gun =P i took my first deer with my .410 shotgun and i took my first deer with rifle last december. i shot the doe in a greenfield 224 yards away and later that afternoon i shot a huge spike about 80 yards away and dropped him right there. he was my first buck. hopefully this year i get a big one!
