I would love to know the answer to this as well...although i dont thnk that there is anyway to simply "keep" the ticks off it seems like the only method that has helped me is to pay attention to things crawling on me and catching them before they sink in..Even tried military issued bug repellent and ticks still managed to get on..Good question no game...

Generally, as long as you seal yourself up pretty well they can't do more than get on you. Many of the tight fitting underclothes will keep you comfortable, while at the same time keeping them from your skin. Just be sure and tuck in the waist bands, and if you can or want to you can put a bit of duct tape around the bottom of your pants to seal it off, or tuck the bottoms into your socks. Most ticks are in high grasses or heavy cover and simply drop on you or get knocked onto you as you pass under or through infested areas. Stay in the center of paths, try not to bump into or duck under branches and if you have to, avoid shaking the limbs. While your sitting, check yourself for crawling ticks as often as you look for your target animal. Concentrate your sprays around entry points, waist bands, shoes, neck and collar, wrists and along the button line on your shirts.

When you get back to your vehicle, strip....if appropriate, and check all over. Arm pits, unmentionables, inside shoes, and give everything a good shake. Unfortunately, if your in tick areas, prevention and caution is your best weapon...nothing will completely repel and keep them off of you. Hope this helps!!

Seen apost on another site for removal. take a cottonball, with glob of liquid soap on it and dob the embeded tick for 30 seconds or so and he lets go on his own and will stick to the cottonball....sounds easy enough and safe too...if your not allergic to soap..lol

Yep like it was said earlier Seal all the edges of clothing a use a repellent with DEET. the neckline,wristbands,waistbands,zipper/button fly,and pant leg bottoms on all these areas, Do regular tick checks. Have you buddies check the areas you can't see and you do the same for them. It sounds gross but it's better than possibly contacting Limes Disease. Hope this helps.

I usually tuck everything in and I also wear a tight fitting Under Armour Heat Gear top. I usually wear my old army uniforms, the ACU's, and I can spot ticks crawling on them fairly easily. I have also heard many good things about
Sawyer Duranon Permethrin Insect Repellent so I am going to try that to keep ticks off of me the next time I go out.
