| | i hunt with my mountain cur dog but if you dont have a squirrel dog find a stand of oak trees or hickory and hunt there mornings and evenings. that is the best way if you dont have a dog just sit down and wait. squirrel calls can help | | | |

| Late season, when most of the leaves are gone, pick you a nice stand of hardwoods and sit with your trusty .22. Scan the trees for movement.
Early season, walk with a shotgun and scan the trees for movement. | | | |

| | just got back from doin some squirrl hunting this weekend i took a hour walk both days got 12 big grays it was to cold like 3 degress and below with the wind . i was huntin on the outside of some thick pines that had nice nut trees on the other side. did see some nice deer for next year while i was out walking too | | |

| ya i got 1 this yr. i wood have got more but i did more deer hunting than squirrel hunting.
