I have an uncle that coon hunts alot,next time I see him I will ask.

my dad used to coon hunt and he had aguy trapped acoon in cage and then he would releas the coon and wait tell the coon was far out there then he would let the dog go and try to trail it.

coondawgs.comcan help ya out im a coonhunter i might be able to help ya ive coonhunted 24yrs if i didnt have to worry about folks shootin my hounds id coonhunt at night and go right back to the same woods i coonhunted and deer hunt in the mornin ive taken numerous good bucks and lots of does doin this
