Greetings.
Figured I'd share with y'all that today is my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary!
No party was thrown but we may try to wrangle a few of the family to meet this weekend and congratulate them.  I'm proud to be a member of my family and no matter how bad things may have been in the past and now, we're always together in spirit and deed.  My parents have pulled through Betsy(9/1965) and Katrina (8/2005), and six children who were a handful I'm sure.
Feel free to check out this quick video I made back in 2005.  I made this video in secret of most of my family and showed it at the 40th anniversary party when times were "good."  One never realizes how good they have it until it's all taken away from you.

Thanks for watching....here's hoping for a 50th.

We met, and got engaged 11 days later. We got married two months later on a Friday morning (20 people total), and went to work on Monday morning. We've been married 31 years. Wouldn't change a thing.

Congrats to your parents!!!

If my parents wouldn't have divorced 2 years ago, they would have been married 41 years come December.

Congratulations to your parents! Start planning early for their 50th anniversary party. It will mean a lot to them. I am the oldest of six children and we all threw a big 50th party for my parents. My mom still talks about it. They are coming up on 54 years this October so I guess we had better start planning for their 55th!
My wife and I will be married 33 years next March. My brothers and sisters gave us a party on our 30th. We always told them that we had given each of them wedding gifts but they were kids when we got married and so they still owed us wedding gifts. After 30 years, they came through for us with a lot of new towels, sheets and such.

If it wouldn't a been good
I wouldn't a done it.

Good to hear the long years by either yourselves or your parents. Once we're re-established maybe then we could start planning.
Thanks for the comments about my video. I could have made it better but I was trying to hide it from everyone and get it done after work one week before the party.
