I WAS AT MY NEW CAMP THIS WEEKEND AND OUT RIDING MY 4 WHEELER  AND RAN OVER WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A TREE LIMB AS I HIT IT I REALIZED IT WAS A RATTLER ABOUT 6FOOT LONG AND ABOUT 4" IN DIAMETER...I WILL START CARRYING MY SNAKE CHARMER....JUST A REMINDER TO BE CAREFUL........

Haven't seen any on the hunting club but I did see a bunch when I was fishing a couple of weeks back.

DO RATTLERS TRAVEL OR STAY AROUND THE SAME AREA ???JUST WONDERING IF I MIGHT CATCH HIM SUNNING IN THE SAME LITTLE ROAD??THIS TIME I WILL TAKE MY CHARMER...

Mike if you look around you will probably find a rocky spot, that is where you will find the den. you might find a bluff close by, but he will stay close to where you saw him, the one good thing about the rattler is he will warn you that he's there but not always, if you hear him it is the most sickining sound you will ever hear, and you will NEVER forget it, then you will probably loose your lunch, at least I did, be extreamly careful stepping over rocks and fallen logs, I don't go in the wood's now without snake boots as most strikes are below the knees, he will sun on rocks so you might catch him there first thing in the mornings,
good luck with him and watch and listen for him

couple years ago I was huntn a stand in the oaks outside of a cypress head and it was really thick and i heard the bushes move so started watchn and a 6ft+ rattler came out, I shot all my arrows at him and barley missed the last one I had shot richochet off a branch in my stand and spilt the arrow in 2 pieces, you coulda put a coke can in the snake and wouldnt even see it

You mean that you are deer hunting and a snake comes by so you shoot all your arrows which cost between $5 an d $10 a piece to try and kill the snake?
