When I got the ones on my toes, I just sprayed them with Bactine several times a day and it worked well for me. Kept them clean and dry and then when the scabs came off they were fine.

I was looking it up on google, and they said to put a scent free lotion on it, or some type of moistureizer. I just got it done like 2 hrs ago and its scabing up already. all ive done to it so far is put a wet paper towel on it.

It's been so long I can't remember............but I don't think it was anything special.Mel's idea sounds good,moisturizer and anti-germs to.

there is a product made just for tattoo care, it is called tattoo goo, you should be able to get it from the tattoo artist that did your tat. it helps to maintain the color as well.

A&D for the first few days and then unscented lotion after that, for about 2 weeks...  you really dont want to use alot of A&D. about a chocolate chip morsel amount should do it for a 4"x4".  too much A&D will make you break out in little white pimple things, sometimes under the ink that sometimes requires touchups.  for lotion, avoid lanolin and aloe in the lotion you choose.

my two cents.

The artist recommended me cocoa butter lotion...haha..It seemed to work really well though with the scabbing and helping it heal up quick...
